Wolverines Edge Blizzard In Shootout

Team Can't Hold Three 1-goal Leads But Still Get Important Point To Kick Off Busy Week.

Playing 5 games in 6 nights is not easy feat for any team and this week will be no different for the Blizzard. So yes they lost to the last place Wolverines 4-3 in a shoot out but the Blizzard did get a point and pardon me again but if the playoffs started today the team would be in the post-season dance.

It's disappointing they could not hold off the Wolverines 3 different times but Wayway has been playing mighty fine hockey lately. Keep in mind that this month they beat Portage back-to-back nights and the same with the Selkirk Steelers who lead the Addison Division.

Each time Monday night the Blizzard took a lead the Wolverines had an answer with all 3 of their goals coming inside the last 5 minutes of a period. Two of those goals were on the power play with defenseman Justin Slobozian in the penalty box.

It'll be a real good test for the Blizzard tonight as they are in Dauphin to take on the Kings. Outside of an 8-2 loss at the GLMC the Blizzard have played the Kings very well beating them twice up here and losing 2-1 and 4-1 in Dauphin. The 4-1 loss saw the Kings score an empty-net goal to widen the gap.

I WILL NOT BE TRAVELLING TO DAUPHIN TODAY DUE TO THE WEATHER SO TONIGHT'S GAME WILL NOT BE BROADCAST.
