The OCN Blizzard is pleased to announce that goaltender David Aime has committed to the Queen’s Gaels Men’s Hockey Program in Kingston Ontario (CIS).
Over a two year stint with the OCN Blizzard, Aime appeared in 107 games compiling a 37-32-6-4 record, 2.97 GAA, .909 save %, 4 shutouts and 59 PIMS.
In the 2009-2010 season, Aime’s efforts between the pipes earned him his first All-Star appearance and the MJHL’S Goaltender of the Year Award. Aime also earned numerous team awards including Team MVP both years, the “Hard Hat” award and Playoff MVP in the 2008-2009 season.
Coach Brett Gibson of Queens had this to say about Dave,
"We are extremely happy David has chosen to attend Queens next season and feel he will be a great addition to our program. With David coming in here we have shored our goaltending tandem up for the next 4 seasons." "Whenever you get an opportunity to bring in an MVP candidate and Top Goalie from any league you jump at that opportunity. I expect David to compete for the Number 1 job right from the start of training camp." “I have had the pleasure of speaking with David for the last 8 months and not only are we getting a great goaltender but we are also getting a great person who fits our program"
