Scott McMillan Hired as Head/Coach GM

On Tuesday, May 5th the OCN Blizzard announced the hiring of the new Head Coach and General Manager Scott McMillan. 

Scott began his young coaching career in 1998 as an assistant at the high school level.  He would then move on the a junior development program and eventually make his way overseas to HeKi Finland to coach with the Men's Professional Team in the 1st Division.  During his stay there he would also take part in the World University Games as an Assistant.  Mcmillan then built a Junior Finnish Program in the 1st Division from the ground up.  He was the Head Coach and GM for that team.  While coaching in Finland, Scott attended the National Sports Institute of Finland - Finnish Ice Hockey Federation.  There he studied in the degree program for Sports Instruction with a Specialization in Ice Hockey.

In 2006 Scott moved on to coach in the Ontario Hockey League for the Soo Greyhounds.  There he worked under Craig Hartsburg, a former National Hockey League Coach (Minnesota, Chicago, Anahiem, Philadelphia, Ottawa). 

The OCN Blizzard Organization welcomes Scott on board and wish him, his staff and team well in the 2009-2010 season!
