Blizzard Announce Player Signings
The OCN Blizzard are very pleased to announce the following player signings.
Forward Craig McCallum of Canoe Lake, Saskatchewan led the Saskatchewan AAA
Midget League in scoring last year as a member of the Beardy’s Blackhawks.
McCallum had a very impressive year with 34 goals and 85 points in 42 games.
Coach/GM Doug Hedley calls the signing of McCallum a major step forward
for the organization.
Defenseman Matt Watson of Leask, Saskatchewan was also a member of the
Beardy’s Blackhawks. In 42 games Watson scored 5 goals and added 19
assists. Watson is a smart player who sees the ice very well
Forward Dan Lind of Saskatoon is the 3rd member of Beardy’s to sign with the
Blizzard. The Saskatoon native had 7 goals and 17 points in 42 games. Lind
is a big power forward who battles well along the boards.
The final signing by the Blizzard is forward Ryan Dreger of Dauphin. Dreger
was the leading scorer in Manitoba High School Hockey last year He played 1
game for the Blizzard in December but did not pick up any points.
The Blizzard organization welcomes all 4 players to the team and looks
forward to their contributions in the upcoming season.
