The OCN Blizzard are proud to announce the commitment of two players for the 2016-17 season, 1997 born FW Brayden Dale and 1997 born D Tavis Roch. Dale, a 6-foot-3 195lb Right Winger played for the Kelowna Chiefs of the KIJHL in British Columbia last year. Roch, a 6-foot-1 195lb physical defender also played in the KIJHL last year with the championship winning 100 Mile House Wranglers.
Last season Dale, played 52 games with Kelowna scoring 14 goals and added 11 assists for 25 points.
“I’m looking forward to making the jump to Junior A,” Dale said. “Moving across the country and making an impact night in and night out is something I’m excited about, and working to be the best that I can be each night.”
He is expected to be in OCN for the start of camp at the end of the month.
Roch, a tall physical defender had a great season with the championship winning 100 Mile House Wranglers but turned in on come playoffs and led his team from the back end. In 41 regular season games Roch scored 4 goals and 11 assists for 15 points. But in 20 playoff games he scored 2 goals adding 9 assists for 11 points, shattering his points per game number from the regular season.
“I’m looking forward to making the move to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League where the game is faster and plays at a higher pace,” Roch said. “OCN Blizzard fans can expect a stay at home D-man who plays at 110% each night."
