Blizzard Shutout Pistons, Neepawa Tonight

11/19/2016, 2:30pm CST
By admin

The OCN Blizzard picked up a big two points last night as they kicked off their weekend road trip with a win in Steinbach 3-0. The Blizzard came out firing early and controlled the pace of the game along with scoring the first two goals.  (Read more...)

Justin Nachbaur got a great pass down low from Brady Keeper, he would out wait Piston goaltender Matt Radomsky and slid the puck by him and into the net.

Shortly after that, the puck would find it’s way to the top of the crease after many OCN scoring opportunities and Shane Roulette standing right in the slot, banged the puck into a wide open net. He couldn’t have had a bigger net to shoot at as he potted his first goal of the season.

In the second period, OCN would add one more. A Steinbach defenseman got caught deep in the OCN zone trying to throw a body check and it was off to the races for Justin Nachbaur and Anthony Keeper. The two went in on a 2 on 1 and Nachbaur ripped the puck 5-hole on Radomsky giving OCN a 3-0 lead early in the second period.

From that point on OCN wouldn’t look back. Blizzard Goalie Emilien Boily was outstanding once again keeping the Pistons off the score board for a 37 save shutout. His 4th shutout of the season, and now leads the MJHL in that category.
