2018 MJHL Bantam Draft

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League is excited to announce that its annual draft of 15-year-old players will take place this year on June 3, 2018 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  The MJHL draft will begin at 9:00am and will feature the eleven-member teams selecting Manitoba players born in the year 2003.

For the 2018 MJHL draft, the league is thrilled to partner with Hockey Tech by utilizing the RinkNet Live Draft Centre tool to operate the entire draft proceedings.  RinkNet enables teams to input, update, and share scouting information amongst themselves all year-long as they prepare for the upcoming draft.  As players come off the board, these systems are automatically updated to reflect the current available player list.

The OCN Blizzard General Manager Wayne Yaremko is enthusiastic about the upcoming draft and is looking forward to the selection for the OCN Blizzard team.

“The draft will consist of 6 rounds, with each team in the league having one pick per round.  This draft the OCN Blizzard have the 8th overall selection, with an additional draft pick in the 3rd and 4th round.  These picks were acquired in the previous 2017/2018 season via trades”

Follow the draft on the OCN Blizzard social media starting at 9am Sunday June 3, 2018 for updates.
