In the third, Winkler came out flying as they would score 7 minutes into the final period tying the game 2-2.
The game would take overtime and just 44 seconds in Nolan McGuire would roof one on OCN goalie Brett Epp. Winker would escape salvaging their weekend road swing with an OT win over the Blizzard.

On Sunday afternoon the game started out very similar to Saturdays. Winkler would jump out first, taking the lead. But OCN would score late in the frame once again noting things up at 1. George King would fire a rebound five hole past the Winkler goaltender.
In the second, George King would score his second of the game on a great pass from Curtis Scales off the rush. OCN would take a 2-1 lead into the third period.
Saturday night’s game OCN fell behind early with the Flyers scoring first. Thanks to a late first period PP goal from Lantz Hiebert the Blizzard would tie things 1-1 heading to intermission.
In the second period the Blizzard would pour it on, Hiebert would score again followed by Jeremy Dumont roofing his first of the game. 3-1 OCN led Winkler after 40 minutes.
Despite 16 third period shots from the Flyers, Emilien Boily would stand tall and OCN would roll to a 3-1 victory.
Following the weekend series with the Winkler Flyers, the OCN Blizzard remain mentioned in the CJHL top 20 weekly rankings. Last week OCN was ranked “13th”, this week OCN drops to an honorable mention.
