The OCN Blizzard have traded 1995 list player Matthew Cameron and 1996 forward Brayden Cullum to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in exchange for a 1997 forward Shane Roulette and a conditional 6th round draft pick in 2016-17.
Roulette, 6’, 200 lbs, appeared in 31 games for the Wolverines during the 2014-15 season, recording 1 goals and 4 assists for 5 points with 14 penalty minutes. Previous to playing junior hockey, the Winnipeg-native played 26 games with Winnipeg Thrashers AAA Midget, recording 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points with 26 penalty minutes.
Roulette participated in last season’s Hit the Ice Program and was also a member of Team Manitoba at the 2015 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship where he teamed up fellow OCN Blizzard teammates Hayden Yaremko, Anthony Keeper and Daylon Campbell.
“Shane has been a teammate to a few of our present players which make it an easier transition to our team. As well, we are very aware of his skills and upside potential as Shane has been a player we have been trying to acquire for some time now. I am very pleased our team finally completed this move”, Head Coach/GM Smith explains.
Heading to Wolverines, Cullum, 19, appeared in 57 games with the Blizzard during the 2014-15 season, recording 8 points (5g-3a) while accumulating 84 penalty minutes.
The OCN Blizzard wish Brayden Cullum all the best with the Wolverines. Brayden is a quality character and a good hockey player.
