Tonight is the rematch between the Blizzard and Flyers. It’s a chance for OCN to steal a win on the road before travelling to Portage tomorrow. Puck drop tonight is at 7:30 and Jaret Schneider will have the broadcast on 102.9 CJAR and thepasonline.com.
In the first period the Winkler stormed out catching the Blizzard flat footed putting the home side up 1-0. They would add another goal midway through the period and take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
The second period was similar to the first in the OCN Blizzard couldn’t find their offence while Winkler would score again, this time on the power play, making it 3-0 after 2 periods.
In the third Winkler would score twice before OCN would finally get on the board. Jared Pedersen with a great drop pass to Kyle Wiltshire left him all alone on goaltender Cole Weaver. Wiltshire made no mistaking ripping a shot over the glove and into the top corner. It’s as close as OCN would come falling 5-1 the final.
