The next night OCN headed a little further East on the Trans Canada highway to meet with the Portage Terriers. The Terriers would ultimately win the game 5-2 handing the Blizzard their first regulation loss of the season.
First period Portage wasted no time, they would score just 2:30 into the game to take an early lead. OCN would answer back to tie the game 1-1. Brady Valiquette scored his first goal of the season on a great drop pass from Brady Keeper at 16:47. Right before the period came to a close Portage would regain their lead 2-1 and not look back.
The second period was a tough one for the Blizzard boys. Portage would score just 30 seconds apart late in the frame and take a 4-1 lead into the second intermission.
Third period Portage played great defensive hockey and shut the door on OCN. George King would however, score his first MJHL goal with the assist going to Taran Lacquette. Portage would add one more to take a 5-2 final over the Blizzard.
