Ross Named Assistant Coach

The OCN Blizzard are pleased to announce the addition of Lennon Ross to the OCN Blizzard Staff. Lennon joins the team with the dual role of Assistant Coach/Equipment Manager.

Lennon commented on his new position, “I’m excited to be a part of the OCN Blizzard organization and I’m looking forward to a successful season. I’ve played hockey most of my life and I’d like to share my skill and knowledge that I’ve acquired over the years to support the success of the Blizzard.”

Lennon, who hails from Cross Lake, MB, has many years of experience playing Junior hockey in Norway House/Cross Lake and was part of the Senior team that captured a Championship in the Fishing Lake League. Lennon spent last season as the trainer for the Junior B Storm in Opaskwayak, Manitoba.

The OCN Blizzard kick off the season with our Main Camp this weekend highlighted with the Black and Blue game which is scheduled for Sunday September 3 rd at 7:00 PM.

Pre-Season Games vs SJHL’s LaRonge Icewolves, and the Swan Valley Stamps will be held, with home games being on the 5th and 11th.

The OCN Blizzard open their 23 rd MJHL regular season at home against the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday, September 21 st , puck drop at 7:00 pm. Season tickets for all 30 home games are available at the Blizzard office in the GLMC, or by calling 204-627-7077. Come out and join the excitement!
