    Brady Keeper & Doug Hedley Up for Awards

    The MJHL announced today that Brady Keeper is up for both the Top Defenseman Award, as well as MVP.  Blizzard Coach Doug Hedley is also a nominee for Coach of the Year.  To read the full article, click here.

    The OCN Blizzard and Winkler Flyers will meet for the final time this season tonight. The two teams have played each other evenly in the first 5 meetings, Winkler has the slight edge winning 3 of the 5 contests.  (Read more...)

    Jordin Tootoo started out his Junior career with the OCN Blizzard in 1998-99 scoring 16 goals and 21 assists in 47 games.   A fan favorite, he was known for his thunderous hits and tough style of hockey,

    Tootoo then moved onto the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League where he played for 4 seasons with over 209 points. Drafted by the Nashville Predators 98th overall, Tootoo remains in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks.
