Blizzard acquire power forward (02) Ryan Monias from the Winkler Flyers is an anticipated addition to the line for the upcoming 2022/2023 season.  Blizzard also receive Flyer’s 1st round pick during the anticipated 2022 MJHL Draft taking place Saturday June 4th.

Blizzard trade 2022-1st round pick and 2022-2nd round pick.  Ryan from Thompson, Mb put up 11G, 8A , 112 PIM’s in 46 GP with the Flyers in the 2021/2022 regular season.

Ryan hails from a proud past with the Blizzard with his father Reynold Monias playing with the team 96/97 and uncle Konrad McKay from 96/97-98/99.

Ryan brings grit and leadership to the team, Blizzard would like to welcome Ryan to the organization and look forward to his performance this upcoming season.

Blizzard have announced the trade of (03) Forward Brett Tataryn of Argyle, MB to the Niverville Nighthawks ahead of the scheduled 2022 MJHL Draft Saturday June 4th.

Tataryn putting up 9 G, 11 A in 54 GP in his 2021/2022 season with the Blizzard.  Trade consisted of a 2022- 3rd Round pick for Niverville for a 2nd & 6th round pick in 2023 & PDF for the Blizzard.

Blizzard would like to thank Brett for his contribution to our team during the 2021/2022 season and would like to wish him all the best in Niverville.

Blizzard hockey is set to hit the ice May 20-22 in Winnipeg, MB at the Bell MTS Iceplex for their annual spring identification camp.

All players born between 2003-2007 are invited to attend the identification camp.  Registration deadline of May 13th  with applicable $175.00 fee payable by e-transfer to blizzardcamps@outlook.com

The Blizzard are looking to hire a new Head Coach & General Manager for the anticipated 2022/2023 season.

Blizzard will not be extending contract with Billy Keane.

Keane joined Blizzard during the 2020/2021 season which was then cut short in October of 2020 due to Covid-19.  The resumption of the 2020/2021 season never happened.  Fast forward to 2021/2022 the Blizzard season kicked off with the team playing out of the Roy H Johnston arena.

The Blizzard concluded their season on March 5th, coming into the final stretch of the season and needing to win 5 consecutive games in a row for a potential play off spot.  The team winning 3 games in a row made for an optimistic team, but ended up falling short.

The Blizzard ended there season with a 18-29-3-4 record, falling short of playoff contention.  The Blizzard organization would like to thank Billy for his time with the team and wish him the best in his future endeavors.   Blizzard graduating 20 year old’s included:

The OCN Blizzard are hosting a Skills & Scrimmage camp March 28th-April 1, 2022 at the GLMC!  Get on ice instruction from head coach Billy Keane and the OCN Blizzard.   Camp includes 30 minutes of skills & 30 minutes of scrimmages daily, youth registered will be entered to win a flex pack to the 2022/2023 season games!

The OCN Blizzard have revealed their latest custom jersey available for auction for the 21/22 season.  After some misfortune with shipping delays on some of their other jerseys that were slated to come up for this season.

The huskie themed jersey was last used with the team back in 2017/2018 season.

Bids for the auction run until February 17th at 8:00 PM CST, opening bids are slated at $150.00 and the website gives you the option to follow and monitor your favorite players throughout the auction.

Cards are $20 each per set, and all orders go towards a completely signed set by your 2021/2022 Blizzards.  It’s been numerous years since the Blizzard have given cards to fans, and we are looking to restore that tradition.

After a successful auction the Blizzard are proud to announce that the team was able to raise $5,050.00 for their Halloween themed jersey auction.  The team would like to thank everyone who placed bids and participated.  Fundraising is an integral part of our teams success!

Blizzard welcome (2003) Forward Ryland Kuczek to the team, Ryland was acquired from the Virden Oilcapitals for Parker Johnson and PDF.

Drayden Kurbatoff (2002) Forward acquired from the Neepawa Titans for a PDF and Future Considerations.

Blizzard Trade (2003) Kerian Cooke to the Miramachi Timberwolves of the Maritime Jr. A hockey league for Future Considerations and CJHL list rights of Jarrett Wood.  The Blizzard thank Kerian for his time here and wish him the best of luck!
